There’s one problem with this heading. Can you guess what it is?
The word, “FINDING”!
You see, no one can “FIND” time to do anything. Unfortunately, (or fortunately) depending on how you look at it, we all have been given the same 24 hours in a day.
So, the question is…how are we going to use it?
We make time to get our car fixed when it breaks down, a dentist appointment when a tooth hurts, even a friend’s birthday party that we tell ourselves we CAN’T miss.
If it’s difficult to make time for your fitness goals then you aren’t alone. But, I am convinced that we have more control over our schedules than we think.
When you really break it down, making time to train for 1 hour a day costs us only 4% of our day. Many of us wouldn’t mind investing 4% of our day into our health and fitness, but we often fail to reach that mark for many different reasons.
Where To Start
Show up. 80% of your fitness success is in showing up. The hardest battle is getting in your car and going to the gym, on a run, or scheduling that cycling class you’ve wanted to try. Once you are there, you officially have conquered the toughest obstacle about this journey.
Stay consistent. Put in the work, the results will come. Many of us have had those triumphant weeks where we hit our fitness goals. Maybe even a few weeks strung together here and there! But the question I’m asking is when was the last MONTH where you achieved all of your health and fitness goals without any hiccups? Put in the work this month everyday no matter what and watch a new habit form.
Create Measurable goals. Losing fat or gaining a six pack are not measurable goals. In order to achieve the body or level of health of your dreams, you need to put NUMBERS to your goals. For example, I want to lose 10 pounds, gain 10 pounds, or even get down to 7% body fat.
Put the First Things First!
We all have a “dream” body or health standard that we desire.
That dream can become a tangible reality once you make the commitment to time for your fitness goals and let nothing and no one get in the way of your dreams.
It isn’t an easy task, but the reward you receive by making this choice will be determined by the sacrifices you make to get there.
You were created to overcome every obstacle that is thrown your way in life.
Every form of adversity, past failure, and negative belief system has to bow to your authority.
You are in control of your life and your body. It’s time to act like it!
